Microscope Accessories and Replacement Parts
General accessories and parts for use with microscopes. Products include lens oil, lens cleaner, slide dispensers, microscope covers, vessel holders, light cubes, and flow cells.
Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.
Temporary, semi-permanent, and more long-term slide storage options include:

Electron Microscopy Sciences AMCU High Load Anti-Vibration Platform with Stainless Steel Surface 90 x 90 cm
High Performance anti-vibration platforms for instruments. The seamless design and stainless steel featured in the AMCU series makes these platforms ideal for use in laboratories and cleanrooms. Grinding disks made with silicon carbide grains with a 60 percent SiC concentration that is hard resin bonded. The disc can be used in wet or dry applications and have a consistent stock removal rate. They are designed with a flat grain curve that will not flatten after a few applications. They are a good alternative to SiC abrasive paper and SiC grinding foils (films), lasting 50-100 times longer.
Grinding disks come with self-adhesive backing. The discs have a thickness of 0.4 mm.

QUANTIFOIL is a perforated support foil with pre-defined hole size, shape and arrangement that has advantages in electron microscopy (EM) or low-energy electron point source (LEEPS) when compared with conventional holey film. QUANTIFOIL with circular holes is used in cryo-electron tomographic reconstruction. The roundness of the holes is advantageous with respect to the formation of an ice layer of constant thickness. A foil with ~1.2 µm circular holes and a spacing of ~1.3 µm between the holes. Smaller holes are designed for magnifications of 50,000x or higher.
Electron Microscopy Sciences Cold Mount TransFix Epoxy Resin
570 g powder; 500 ml liquid. Lowest shrinkage of cold mounting resins. Curing time is long, excellent adhesion to most materials. Used for vacuum impregnation. Hardened epoxy is duroplastic and not affected by moderate heat or chemicals.

Dino Lite BL-ZW1 Polarized Back-light Stage
BL-ZW1 is a backlight stage polarizer designed for use with Dino-Lite models with built on polarizers. (Examples: AM4113ZT, AF4115ZT, AF4915ZT, AM7115ZT, etc). BL-ZW1 is a sturdy and attractive backlight stage that is powered through a USB cord or AC Adapter. Adjustment of the polarizer is simply performed by sliding the wheel adjustment located on the front of the stage. Diameter of illumination: 4.5cm.
